Project Description

Results:
The Hazard ratio for each additional 6 months of breast feeding was 0.73 in European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition (EPIC) -Potsdam. Revealed an inverse association between breastfeeding duration and risk of diabetes Adjustment for BMI and waist circumference attenuated the association . Further controlling for potentially mediating biomarkers largely explained this association .
Conclusion:
Longer duration of breast-feeding may be related to a lower risk of diabetes. The role of body weight as a mediator or confounder remains uncertain.

Explanation:
This says that by breast feeding the weight will be normalized of the mother and risk of diabetes type 2 will decrease.
